PLENTY – 8th Annual Holiday Exhibition

What/Why: “Plenty 2015 is our eighth annual holiday show. Opening Saturday, November 21, 4-6 pm, Plenty celebrates the work of 46 Boston-area artists, many showing in the gallery for the first time. Painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and sculpture are all presented.

Most works in the show are modest in size and budget and make great holiday gifts. As you’ll see, we’ve also been busy stocking up on our unique collection of handmade ceramics, jewelry and glasswork as well as holiday ornaments, cards, and toys for young and old.

And if you can’t make our opening reception, please join us for some holiday cheer at our annual Holiday Party on Thursday, December 17 from 6-9 pm.”

Porter Mill Studios Presents: Holiday Open Studios

And this year at the Mill we’re got our Holiday Open Studios in full force this December. 4 floors of 45+ artists will have their studio doors open to the public for business. Painters, photographers, craftmakers, and scultptors will be selling that special something for your special something all day ending with a reception at 5pm in our main gallery celebrating the day.”

What/Why: “We are happy to kick-off the holiday shopping season with Chrismukkah @ SoWa, our new 3-day holiday festival opening with a very special SoWa First Fridays on December 4th.

In addition to amping up the outdoor decorations, turning on the music, and spreading some holiday cheer, we’ll be erecting a 6,500 square foot heated tent in the 450 Harrison Ave lot, set to be packed with 50 incredibly talented local artisans ready to show off their one-of-a-kind, handcrafted goods & treats.

Outside of the “Big Tent”, along Thayer Street, we’ll of course have our usual assortment of 90+ artist studios and 60+ shops, boutiques & galleries open for business.

For those bringing an appetite, we also have you covered with a few of Boston’s most iconic Food Trucks setting up shop outside, as well as Mohr & Mcpherson Café, Cinquecento & Gaslight Brasserie du Coin just next door.

Oh and if that wasn’t enough to get you here… parking & admission will be FREE for all patrons!”
